I create from a meditative state, moving from impulse and inspiration throughout the piece. My art gives me a feeling of holistic completion and joy, I hope it does the same for you.

The language of the natural world always called to me, as though if I stayed quiet enough, I could hear the heartbeat of life within a tree or the soil below my feet.

I began to listen to this language that lives beyond words. From that connection, I became inspired to incorporate natural pigments into my artwork.

On forest trails, my own backyard, or city parks – I found inspiration and materials everywhere. I researched and experimented, deepening my connection with nature as I painted landscapes with her very essence.

Just as we live in a world of shadow and light, I do not shy away from utilizing conventional paints and materials. For me the dance between the natural, recycled, re-used, and brand new is especially seductive and life giving.

My paintings are a reflection of life as I know it. Partially natural, wild, free, creative and partially living in a man-made world of plastics, convention, and durability. In this beautiful mess, spirit still speaks with endless breath.
